Imad Saleeba Maayha

He was born in the city of Madaba, Jordan. He advanced through the military ranks in the Arab Army until he attained the rank of Major General. During his service, he held several key leadership positions, most notably as Director of the Command and Staff College between 1996 and 1997, and later as Assistant Chief of Staff for Planning and Organization, then for Administration, before retiring after a long military career distinguished by competence and discipline.

In 2003, he ran in the parliamentary elections representing the Christian seat in Madaba Governorate and won a seat in the 14th House of Representatives, where he contributed to the work of the Administrative Committee in parliament.

After his parliamentary career, he devoted himself to church and community service and was elected President of the Council of Evangelical Churches in Jordan. He continues to serve in supporting churches and strengthening their spiritual and social role in the country.

In September 2025, he was elected President of the Evangelical Synods Union in Jordan and the Holy Lands. He is married and has two daughters and five grandchildren.
