Ms. Ruba Rihani holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and media from Yarmouk University, and a master’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan.
During her studies she had a dream and a passion to enable Arab women and urge them to seek a better life, living in dignity and prosperity, not poverty and humiliation.
In 1999, she founded the “Arab Women Today” Ministry, which she managed till now. She began her work by a radio program entitled “Al Mar’a Elyawm”, which was broadcasted through radio around the world. In 2013 she launched the television program “Balshi Min Hoan”, which is currently being broadcasted on “Sat- 7”.
Ms. Ruba sought tirelessly and worked hard for the empowerment of Jordanian women and Christian women in Jordan and the Arab world through workshops and annual conferences that train women on leadership skills in addition to a variety of other skills on how to manage their social, spiritual & psychological lives.
Ruba is currently living in Jordan, married to the Rev. Dr. Nabih Abbassi, and has three sons: Ramsey, and Rami, and Randy.
